The lightweight Sierra Slim Backpack lets you carry your essentials in comfort and minimalist style with a low profile. Sophistication meets function in this lovely little backpack which perfectly fits your slim laptop, wallet, phone and even your favorite book.

You’ll love the comfortable feel of the soft brown nubuck leather, and the convenience of adjustable straps (32” at longest).

Traditional techniques are used to achieve these gorgeous hues of sand, forest green and sage with natural dye sources like mint marigold and walnut.

Many of the traditional designs found on MZ Made bags are taken from pre-Hispanic Zapotec ruins such as Mitla and Monte Alban. Each of these symbols has a deep cultural meaning to the people who weave them. We are honored to share these beautiful designs with the world.

Each MZ Made creation is a work of art, handmade with immense love and pride. We strive to preserve the beautiful traditions and superb artistry of the Zapotec people by connecting them with socially conscious consumers around the globe.

Handmade by master Zapotec artisans Isabel + Vicki in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Isabel and Vicki are sisters and come from a family of weavers. Their family is one of the few in the village who still work with natural dyes. They create beautiful hues using all natural dyes derived from plants and insects, like indigo and cochineal.

Your handmade item is made with premium wool, which naturally repels dirt, debris, and moisture. It requires less laundering than other fibers! Never use a washer or dryer.

For light cleaning, we suggest a cashmere brush. They are readily available online and in most craft and yarn stores.

For more intensive cleaning, we recommend eco-friendly dry cleaning.
